Andy Arnold,
Attorney At Law
Born and Raised in the Upstate
Over his 33 years of practicing law, Greenville attorney W. Andrew (Andy) Arnold has litigated more than a hundred high-stakes cases. Born and raised in the upstate, Andy attended public schools before getting a bachelor’s degree from Furman University. He graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Law with honors. Upon graduation, Andy began his career representing companies at a big law firm but that didn’t last long. After only two years, he launched his own employment law practice at the age of 27. However, after a multi-million-dollar verdict against a billion-dollar nursing home chain for gross negligence, his litigation practice diversified. Today, he handles a select number of cases in the areas of employment law, non-compete litigation, business disputes, partnership break-ups, and trade secrets litigation.
The common theme is that each case is high stakes. His cases are the sorts that keep him and his clients up at night. Cases where reckless or ruthless people have taken the livelihood or the lives of people who played by the rules. It’s the kind of case that you can’t afford to lose. Although no one can guarantee success, Andy can guarantee that he will give each the best representation that his skills, and experience, and passion can muster.
Recognized by his peers.
Andy is consistently recognized by his peers. He has been named a Super Lawyer 10 of the last 12 years – an annual distinction held by only 5% of attorneys in each state. As an employment lawyer and litigator, he has also been recognized by The U.S. News & World Report’s annual Best Lawyers “Best Law Firms” rankings. Greenville Magazine has named Andy to their list of Greenville Magazine’s “Legal Elite” for the last 9 years running.
However, Andy has chosen a law practice model that is highly selective in the cases he accepts. Many good cases can be done just as well by others, but there are some cases that Andy’s skill set and experience provide unique value to his clients. Those are the clients he wants to serve. Andy primarily handles non-compete cases, trade secrets litigation, employment disputes, and business litigation/shareholder oppression cases.
Currently, Andy maintains two standalone websites related to a couple of his practice areas: Beat Your Non-Compete.

Why Choose the Law Office of Andy Arnold? Yours is the
Most Important Case
Experience
We have helped a lot of people and won some really tough trials over the years. Our team has learned some lessons the hard way but our clients are better served.
I got my start in employment litigation 33 years ago, but my experience grew to encompass several other areas. Over the last decade, I defended more and more noncompete cases and with them the trade secret claims which are standard operating procedure for the corporate bully or the entitled CEO. Also, I have gained experience in shareholder oppression cases, and these three areas are enough to take up most of my practice. And that's fine by me.
Client Focus
We have the experience and capabilities of a large firm, but with the personal and responsive service of local advocates.
By limiting the number of cases we accept, we can put more of our time and energy into each case to get the result the client deserves.
Proven Results
Our proven ability to successfully litigate complex cases has caused us to be consistently recognized as a leading law firm by The U.S. News & World Report’s annual Best Lawyers “Best Law Firms” and Super Lawyers.
This is a distinction held by only the top 5% of attorneys in each state.
